All Gladius cabinets are built like acoustic guitars and sounds like an instrument! All speakers got a very special Gladius aging!

The expliit purpose of building this cabinet was building a 4x12’’ box that is substantially smaller and lighter keeping the original sound at full power as well as at extremely low volume settings!

Given the fact that nowadays only very few guitarists play full stacks, it was extremely important to generate a 160° directional characteristic allowing to - even on the smallest stages.

The 412A is the smallest, lightest and biggest sounding 4x12’’ ever produced!. This box sounds transparent and tight without sounding sharp or thin! On the contrary, it produces sensationally defined lows, a superb presence in the mids and creamy silky highs.

It took years and years of research to create the above mentioned functionality and sound; features from the HiFi industry were used. Taking a closer look at the rear side of the box you will recognize the Thiele Bass-Reflex system. This is absolutely mandatory to create the right bass response especially at low sound levels. In order to generate early resonance, the box panels are extremely tightly finger joined and stiffened.

Mixed loudspeakers:

In recent years it has become particularly popular to use mixed speakers. Top loaded the speakers that sound creamy and fat and below speakers were used that can produce the percussive and tight bass range.

More and more customers want a big sound at low volumes, which is clearly an advantage when using open back cabs. For larger volumes we recommend using the closed back version, as the bass sounds tighter and more focused..

This 100% handcrafted cab is made by a carpenter! Already now the LC412A is recognized as a mile stone in the development of new 4 x 12 cabinets!
