Body made of very old wood (100+ year old Oregon pine) with four pieces (two on each side) sandwich structure and hollow chambers following the original pattern from 1949.
Body is finished in aged GOLD nitrocellulose lacquer, which has been cured and dried out for months. It shows plenty of weather checking and wear marks mostly around the edges.
This particular guitar comes fitted with a mid-50s style cream soap bar P90 pickup and cut bridge with early 1950 steel barrel saddles.
The Bridge pickup measures 8.73K ohm. The sound of the P90 combined with the resonant ancient pine hollow body gives this guitar a very unique character. If you like the early 50s sun studio sound from the first records of Elvis with Scotty Moore you will love this instrument.
The cream ABS pick guard has been lacquered, aged and cut to proper 1949 dimensions adjusted to the P90 bridge configuration. The combination of aged GOLD finish and cream pick guard is very elegant and distinctive and gives this guitar a very cool LESPAULvibe.
The guitar comes with a rectangular tweed mid 50s style hard case (not aged).
